Quality Assurance and Certifications

The launch of Repair the World has been and is an exciting journey.  We want you to have incredibly comfortable, cool clothing that’s made just right - every time. All day long. 365 days of the year. But we also want a responsible production process to make our apparel done right. We are not a company that has looked at what others are manufacturing and have merely placed orders with others for our products.  We have a strict code of conduct and employ critical business practices that are part of our corporate social responsibility.

And importantly, we want to adhere to our triple bottom line approach. That’s why we’re serious about the way we do things - to make sure everyone’s doing what they said they would, and create the best apparel for you.

We have employed a best practices approach by searching out existing technologies, developing partnerships in our supply chains, and employing an intensive review process; insuring that our partners document and certify the materials used and the processes employed in manufacturing our products. We have heard many, many times, “no one has ever asked us for that information before,” and this makes us happy…but hasn’t quickened or made easier our journey to make the best clothing possible for you.

This “certify the certifiers” methodology, not taking everything we are told at face value, and digging as deeply as possible has helped to assure transparency and accountability. We have had to sell ourselves, our values and our vision to our supply chain partners, to build trust with them so they would take a chance in getting started with us. They have endured our endless questions and our endless quest for transparency and substantiation in everything that we do. We thank them and commend them for adhering to our standards. As a start-up apparel company, we have not had the clout that larger apparel and retailers have with potential vendor partners. When we make your clothing, we assure things like:

  • Certification of manufacturing processes
  • Recycled paper content (100% post consumer recycled fiber) for our hangtags
  • Safe working conditions for those producing the clothing
  • Fair labor practices

So, we give you our word, and our assurance; you’ll know that the shirt on your back or the hoodie keeping your warm positively affects social outcomes because of your thoughtful purchase.  We are constantly compiling new certifications and additional substantiation regarding our products, so please follow in our journey here as we fill this page with our progress.

We hope you'll join us to repair the world.
